Sometimes I let my daughter play on my phone so I can (finish a paper/write a blog post/have a minute to breathe).
I breastfed for 14 months, but we had to supplement with formula at seven.
We discussed how boys can marry boys and girls can marry girls after watching an episode of Modern Family.
We’ve missed some dance classes when I’ve had bronchitis off and on because I was just too worn out.
She’s drank a soda. More than once.
We took her to the theater to see Star Wars.
I don’t mind watching Daniel Tiger. The songs are kind of inspirational. (Let’s learn to play together! Come on. Adults need to hear that sometimes too.)
I buy fruit snacks for her, but I eat them too.
When I realize how much she’s grown up in the last four and a half years, I want to cry.
I take way too many pictures and just slightly fewer videos.
I want to get my PhD for me but also for her because she should know that she can do anything.
But without her dad, I couldn’t “do it all”. He’s my rock.
We haven’t had a big birthday party for her since her first. She wants to go to Chuck E. Cheese for her next. I am trying to change her mind on location. The zoo, maybe?
She likes to climb in bed with us in the middle of the night. I let her.
My life completely changed when I became her mama.
And I wouldn’t change it for the world.
What do you love about being a mom?
