Moonstruck Meadery: A Romantic Valentine’s Special AND Giveaway

This post and giveaway is sponsored by Moonstruck Meadery. All opinions are my own.

If the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, a way to this woman’s heart is with wine and pizza. When it comes to two of my favorite things, my favorite place to wine and dine is at Moonstruck Meadery in Bellevue, Nebraska. It’s where this girl and her husband will be enjoying a romantic Valentine’s dinner, and you can too. Read on to find out how you can enjoy some delicious mead and pizza (plus dessert) for free!

The Mead

Moonstruck is known first and foremost for its mead. Mead is not a traditional grape wine nor is it a beer. It’s made from pure honey, mixed with water, and then yeast is added at fermentation. Originating in China over 8,000 years ago and traveling the world from the Vikings post-battle libations to the modern day pairing with pizza at Moonstruck. Moonstruck’s Mead is world renowned, winning awards in the United States, Argentina, China, Israel, Ukraine, and more!

The taste is something you will have to try for yourself. With 10 varieties of mead and the new Farmhouse cider, you are sure to find something you love.

Meet Moonstruck's Meads

Show mead
is definitely a centerpiece for your mead experience with clove and alfafa honey flavors found only in Nebraska.

Plum has a bit of a spice that any fruity Mead lover would enjoy.

Cherry is made with Montmorency Cherries and has that dessert flavor that tastes heavenly chilled.

Gluten free Peach is an aromatic, fruity option for all.

Blueberry has so many health benefits. Why not drink it in a bottle of Mead?

Made with peppers, the international recognized, award-winning Capsumel, was not the Mead I expected to be my favorite, but I cannot get enough. This little bite of heat is one you must try.

Hoppy is a decadent, citrusy blend of Cascade & German Hallertau hops.

Strawberry may be the perfect Mead for your romantic night out. Why not pair it with a few chocolate covered strawberries and honey-crusted pizza?

Cyser is a choice Mead for all the apple fans like myself.

Want to try several Meads in one sitting? Get a flight to sample all of your soon-to-be favorites!

The Pizza

Come to Moonstruck for the Mead, stay for the pizza (and the Mead too). Moonstruck’s honey-crust pizza has a taste all its own. From traditional single toppings to El Rey (The King) taco pizza, Viceroy Veggie, and seven other specialty options, you can’t walk into Moonstruck without ordering a pizza that you’ll never forget.

The pizza comes in three sizes: Small 7″(serves 1), Medium 12″(serves 2-3), and Large 14″ (serves 4-5). Gluten-free crust is available!

Appetizers and Desserts are also available.

The Service

Owner Brian Schlueter goes above and beyond to make the Moonstruck dining experience superb for everyone who walks in the door. Although Moonstruck can evoke a romantic feel, we have attended with my daughter. The first time we dined at the Meadery, Liv had fell asleep on the way. We ordered an appetizer (spinach & artichoke dip) while we waited for our honey crusted pizza. As the pizza arrived, Liv awoke, and realized we ate the app while she was sleeping. She wasn’t very happy, but we calmed her down quickly. Unbeknownst to us, Brian had the chef whip up another appetizer just for Liv, on the house. From the owners to the wait staff and bartenders, Moonstruck’s service is beyond exceptional.

Strawberry, blackberry, plum, peach. They are all yummy! As far as the pizza gies, the one with the spinach, chicken and Alfredo sauce. The Queens…something, I can’t remember the name.

My husband and I went there for our anniversary last summer–it was very romantic–and incredibly yummy! Where else can a girl get her guy, a pizza, and wonderful Mead?! Even if you do not win–you should go–it is SO good!
