Don't get stuck in a date night rut! Here are 5 unique date ideas in Omaha, Nebraska. #3 is my favorite!
1. Sip, Eat, and Create!

Why not explore your creative side on your next date night? The Omaha area has several places where you can paint while enjoying delicious drinks and food. Twisted Vine in Papillion boasts a plethora of fine beverages you can sip while you paint with your date. Check out the calendar to choose your own favorite canvas to create.

Like Twisted Vine, The Corky Canvas in Midtown (and Lincoln) employees local artists and instructors to give you and your date step-by-step tutorials in order to create your very own masterpiece!

Not the creative type? Don’t sweat it! If we can do it, you can too!

2. Laugh Yourself Silly

Omaha’s Funny Bone comedy club hosts top-notch comedians that will make you laugh until your sides hurt. Situated in Northwest Omaha, The Bone has recently hosted famous comics such as Frank Caliendo, Christopher Titus, Kevin Nealon, Shawn Wayans, the moms from Pump and Dump and more!

The Funny Bone offers chances to win free tickets to many of their shows on their website. Nothing goes better with a great date than laughter and a few extra dollars in your pocket!

3. Be in Two Places at Once

Take a walk on the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, and stand on the Nebraska/Iowa line. The 3,000 ft. pedestrian suspension bridge is a gorgeous outdoor attraction along the riverfront. Take a romantic stroll with your significant other while you put one foot on each side of the state border. Nebraska and Iowa neighbors call it “bobbing”, and you can follow “Bob” on Twitter with #ItHappensonBob.

4. Solve a Mystery and Escape!

Omaha has a few options for unique experience dates in the form of escape rooms. The premise is this: get trapped in a room and solve clues to get yourself out before the time is up!

Entrap Games offers six different rooms. Hold your honey close as you try to escape the Zombie Lab or go for a more physical journey in Ransom.

The Escape Omaha has four distinct rooms with escape rates between 25%-40%. You may not make it out in time, but you’ll have quite the time while you try. All of these are perfect for group dates. The Escape Omaha recommends 2-6 people in a group.

The House of Conundrum has five unique rooms. Choose one and try to make it out by solving clues and puzzles in a unique downtown location.

5. Go on a Culinary Tour

Omaha Culinary Tours gives you tasty eats, history, and more on one of the most unique dates we’ve ever experienced as a couple! We tried the Old Market Food Tour and left with full bellies, great conversation (with each other and others), and a better understanding of the historical Old Market. It was also our last time enjoying the beautiful M’s Pub together before the fire that burned down the building in 2015.

Omaha Culinary Tours has grown its business to include three walking tours. Three more, including popular Benson neighborhood eateries, are coming soon! Four bus tours include: Classic Steakhouse Tour, Chocolate and Pastries Tour, A Slice of Omaha Pizza Tour, and A Bite of Omaha (a little bit of everything) are booking now! A Burgers and Brews Tour and Vegan Eats are on the horizon. Each holiday season, the company puts on a Cookies, Carols, and Cocoa Holiday Light Bus Tour. Tantalize your taste buds with these amazing, unique date nights full of good eats and great company!
