Worlds of Fun-World Food & Wine Festival

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company in conjuction with Blog Meets Brand, and I have been compensated for my participation. All opinions are my own.

Some of my greatest childhood memories involve screaming on the Timber Wolf Wooden Roller Coaster, coasting down the Fury of the Nile, and raising my arms in delight on the Sea Dragon.

My (still) best friend and I more than 20 years ago at FAO Schwarz in Kansas City during one of our trips to Worlds of Fun.

My (still) best friend and I more than 20 years ago at FAO Schwarz in Kansas City during one of our trips to Worlds of Fun.

Worlds of Fun is not just for kids, however. In fact, when we introduce Liv to the wonder that is Worlds of Fun next weekend, my husband and I will also be enjoying an event specifically for adults, the World Food & Wine Festival.

From June 4-12, Worlds of Fun is hosting the 2nd Annual World Food and Wine Festival!

Executive Chef Kevin Williams has paired a variety of delectable dishes with wine samples including dry and sweet wines, sparkling, port, and sherry.

Passes are available online to the event and park right now.

Admission to the park plus a ticket to the festival (which allows you to try the delicious food and wine pairings) is just $59.99. You’ll enjoy the exhilirating thrills you once savored as a child along with the mouth-watering delights and drinks prepared for this fine event.

Check back soon for a recap of our trip, including our #WOFFirstTimer, Liv, enjoying her first trip to one of my favorite childhood places!

Check out the other events coming to Worlds of Fun!

Cool! I wish the Wine Festivals in the NY area were so low in cost. I’d definitely drink my fair share of vino. Lol

I love these kind of places! SO much fun and it takes us away from all of the daily grinds. I’ve never been to this particular one, we usually go to Holiday World.

Love that they are having a good and wine festival. We went to one at Epcot one year without the kids and we had a blast. I love the memories of parks like this growing up and I love that they are making the experience a good one for adults. Great post!

Yes! Wine and amusement park rides? I can’t think of a better combination!!!

  12. June 7, 2016 at 4:33 am

Honestly, I enjoy these theme parks better now that I’m an adult. I guess it’s because I have less inhibitions and I’m actually there to have some fun. Plus, I don’t have an adult tailing after me or dictating where we’ll go or ride haha. I’d most likely go for a couple of thrill rides and see the fireworks display.

I am not a big coaster fan, so it’s nice to be able to ride what I want or watch with a toddler now! I am sure that time will come soon.

Wine Tastings are so much fun. I’m always surprised at the skill involved in pairing. This is my first time hearing about Worlds of Fun–looks like a good reason to visit Kansas.
